Transparent body with embedded gold lead or speckling is often used to add luxury & highlight craftsmanship. Murano Island, Venice, Italy has been a hub of elite glass-making since the 13th century. This particular style is associated with the Barovier & Tasso or Seguso workshops, famous for gold flecked & ribbed blown glass.
