Background-

Daum is a Crystal studio based in Nancy, France, founded in 1818 by Jean Daum. His sons Augusre Daum & Antonin Daum oversaw its growth during the burgeoning Art Nouveu period. Daum is one of the few glass companies to have freely used the pate-de-verre technique in modern production. The Maison's reputation grew, and each generation brought new innovations to Daum's craft.

The form is distinct, somewhat abstract geometric shapes with cut-out elements, could be used as small sculptures.

Crystal candleholders fall within the realm of decorative arts and tableware. Makers like Daum often produced a range of such items to complement their silverware and other home accessories, catering to a discerning clientele who appreciated modern design and fine materials.

Best practice to maintain Daum Crystal pieces- Use a soft & dry microfiber, without the addition of water or cleaning products.
